You might have noticed I haven’t put a chapter up for a couple of weeks. I am on chapter 13 but I’ve only posted the first few chapters. After reading it over again, I’ve found it slow and uninteresting compared to my other stories. So I’m going back to the prologue, which might not end up a prologue at all.
Instead of implying that there was this terrible accident that took the lives of Malosi’s brother and sister-in-law, I’m now showing you the story.
What happened? Why does Malosi blame Dai and her brother Machail for their deaths? Are they responsible? What are the details?
And since I’ve started doing this, the motives behind the characters are deepening. They do, in fact, mirror our flawed human condition. This is good because I’m beginning to shape their personalities. We will see both the mistakes and the reasons for the mistakes.
This is why I’m usually hesitant to publish my work in progress. Yet I want to stay connected to my readers.
I would love comments! You’re all so quiet.
That and today is the very last day (until 7 pm PDT) for Curse of Mt. Ream’s Kickstarter. Please do take a look if you haven’t already. Another Man’s Storm will be a spin off series from Sword of Cho Nisi. I don’t expect book 1 to be finished until next year.
