Cassandra's Castle
I first began research for Cassandra's Castle the same time a friend, Pat Stricklin and I began a genealogy research for her grandfather. It was said her grandpa was related to Portuguese royalty. We did find some information about him. Because of certain circumstances, he and her grandmother had never been photographed together. Touched by their lives, I felt compelled to paint a portrait of the two together. It was a very emotional experience for me.
The research also took me on a trail to the tragic events around a young 18 year old who suddenly became the ruler of a nation in the midst of a revolution. Just as I felt the need to paint about a heartbreaking love story, so too, I wanted to somehow paint history over again for Manuel II, the last king of Portugal. Hence, I was already considering a plot for book V of the Ian's Realm Saga, so I outlined Cassandra's Castle.
The book is not published yet, but the story will be told through our production and today we're looking for financing. Please take a look at our Indiegogo fundraiser and see if you couldn't spare a ten spot, or more to bring this rewrite of history to the screen!
Thanks! Be an Executive Producer for Cassandra's Castle
