Red
Red has not been a color I look for. It's not home, or life or peace to me. It's brilliance can be overwhelming. But red has its place. A wink, a wake up, an alert, a smile.

Red can lure, drawing its victim into the shadows. Mesmerizing, consuming. Until the beholder is completely devoured in its beauty.

There are times when red surprises me, and perhaps my own inhibitions are a stumbling block from loving something more deserving than what I give.
I shall, perhaps, consider loving red more than I do. Others have found its value and have given me a keener sense for the color's worth.
