It’s time for spring blooms and filling up the calendar with the summer schedule!
For some reason, most of my readers prefer paperbacks. Is that a fantasy thing? I think so because I buy paperbacks. My kindle is upstairs, no charge, collecting dust. But I just rearranged my bookshelves to make room for all the new paperbacks I’m buying.
What do you prefer?
I also have discovered that I have a fan base right here in my backyard. I and a group of local authors pitch in together and buy booths at fairs, art festivals, bazaars and any other gala that is happening here. I sell out. I sell more paperbacks in person in one weekend than I do all year on line. And this year I just came across a program that gets me into signing books at Kroger stores, and so I’m going to be doing that too.
If you’re an author with wholesome stories than send me a message and I’ll give you a referral.
I think the personal touch of talking with an author is an asset. I think that’s why Kickstarters work so well, because if you’re a reader, you can interact with the author on Kickstarter, whereas other retailers won’t even tell an author who their readers are.
Anyway, I have a book signing schedule on my website and if you’re in Western WA, specifically in the Puget Sound region, take a look and come see me.
And while on the subject of Kickstarters, check these out!
Remember the book Pouraka that I offered here on Substack? Well I thought you all might like this mermaid book too!
