Winter Writiing
Even though I spent much of the summer working on screenplays for Cassandra's Castle, writing queries for An Unconventional Mr. Peadlebody, and posting opinions on Facebook, I'm looking forward to fall writing. There's something about the cold air that makes curling up by the keyboard and diving into another world, exciting.
I'm also looking forward to picking up some novels and reading, though I'm not sure which ones. I'm open to suggestions!
I've considered doing NaNoWriMo again this year. There's another world in a farther galaxy waiting to explore and it just may be the year to go there!
Currently I am entered in a one week Christian Screenwriter's competition entitled Writes of Passage. They give you a scripture and you're to base a 12 page screenplay around it. During the process you get a mentor who helps you along the way. I think this is going to be fun and I look forward to my scripture, which will be given to me tonight!
I am also tossing the idea around of doing a blog series and I'm wondering if there's interest in that. I haven't come up with any ideas yet. I know I had started a Story of Susan a couple of years ago which followed Susan from the Narnia series and what might have happened to her. If I can find my former writings what might be fun is to make this an interactive story and get some ideas from you!
Let me know your thoughts on this.
Have a wonderful fall and don't let the goblins get you!!
